Jane had been trying to solve the mystery of who her great-grandfather was since she was a teenager.
Ian
Ian was born in Germany because his father was stationed at a Royal Air Force base there.
Ian started to look into his ancestry back in 2010, though he only really started seriously looking into genealogy in 2016 after he retired. Ian spent his career in IT and pharmaceuticals, with extensive knowledge of SAP and manufacturing. At one point, commuting to Sweden every week, he also travelled to France and Germany whilst working as a Business Analyst for a pharmaceutical company.
Jane and Ian communicate via emails because they live approximately 260 miles apart
