Catherine Walton 1873 – 1913 had six children, four were present at her funeral, Annie Lee predeceased her mother, there is no mention of her son Matthew Lee, though we know he was at this time living under another name ( Joseph Leigh Hunter ) in Bathgate, Scotland. It has been suggested that funerals were carried out quicker back in 1913. From what we can gather from the obituary, there was 3-4 days between Catherine’s death and funeral. From the obituary, we can see that Mary Cotton nee Lee travelled from London for the funeral.
Note the use of two spellings of the family surname Lee and Leigh in the obituary.
