The earlier post mentions the names Sarah, Jack and Ada. Now we know for certain the real identity of Joseph Leigh Hunter; we know who the three people were:
Sarah Lee (1873-1933)
Ada Isabel Lee (1879-1850)
John “Jack” Edward Gilliland (1877-1951)
Sarah and Ada were Joseph Leigh’s (Matthew Lee) sisters and Jack was Ada’s husband.
The line on the postcard “Tell mother we are all right” suggests that Catherine Lee nee Walton was visiting her son, Joseph Leigh Hunter ( Matthew Lee ) in Bathgate, West Lothian.
